About The Event

The rapid advancement of digital technology has profoundly restructured everyday life—redefining cultural frameworks, ethical considerations, social cohesion, and interpersonal relations. While technological innovation remains essential for global progress, its unchecked trajectory has intensified social fragmentation, algorithmic bias, loneliness, misinformation, and systemic inequality. Emerging technologies continually challenge traditional notions of authorship, pedagogy, ethics, and democratic discourse. The 5th International Conference on Innovation and Transformation for Development (ITD 2027) addresses these critical challenges by posing a fundamental question: How can the humanities and social sciences rehumanize our technological trajectory? Grounding discussions in perspectives from Bangladesh and the Global South while actively engaging comparative global contexts, ITD 2027 offers an interdisciplinary platform to explore how culture, values, and norms can serve as vital instruments for ethical direction, social justice, empathy, and collective resilience.
